Jazzmen Rice with Sausage and Lentils
Here's an easy one pot recipe for a quick and delicious lunch or dinner to warm your insides as the weather starts to get colder.
2 tbsp. oil
1 lb. fresh sausage (can use Italian sausage)
1/2 lb. green lentils
5 cups water
1 tbsp. fresh thyme
1 1/2 cups Jazzmen White Rice (can substitute Jazzmen Brown Rice)
Heat oil in a rice pot. Remove sausage from casing (if present) and cook until brown and crumbled in pot.
Add lentils and thyme and stir to evenly combine. Add water and bring to a boiling cooking lentils for 10 minutes.
Add Jazzmen Rice to pot a stir to combine, cover and simmer until rice is fully cooked.
Stir to recombine if separation occurred and serve warm.
